Varying projects require the appropriate approach to successful project management – ours is determined by the expected deliverables of our customers and their stakeholders to meet agreed requirements, time targets and operating within set financial budgets.
We ensure the right people and expertise to anticipate change and manage any risks through planned mitigation. Projects may introduce significant changes to the way the business operates and can create new challenges.
Good project management and guidance will help manage any associated risks to business continuity. Our principles can be applied to any type of project we undertake directly or with our delivery partners. We retain an in-house project management team of mechanical, electrical and refrigeration specialists. The projects group operates with a bespoke web-based project management process, designed to provide consistent high standards and quality delivery. This includes providing a Project Execution Plan for all projects. However, the process is also flexible. Our intention is to identify all client specific project processes, such as health and safety reporting, access, permits, etc., and build these into a Project Operation Guide for the client team. This provides the client with an agreed method for planning, managing and monitoring on all projects. Projects are subject to Project Handover Plans which support project completion. This secondary plan ensures all work and commissioning is completed to programme, systems are set to work, defects are closed out, all training is given and recorded and all associated drawings and manuals are completed – including the safety file for CDM projects.
